If Not Me, Then Who?

This question can have two answers depending on the context it is used in.

Answer #1 : the rocks

I am using this in a context of worship. The Bible tells us that if we do not worship God, then the rocks will cry out. (Luke 19:40)

I'm not sure about you but i do NOT want a rock crying out in my place. No sir, no ma'am, no turkey, no ham.

Often times we worry so much about the negative things going on in our lives ( some of which we bring on ourselves), that we forget to stop and take a minute to thank God for all the amazing things He has done for us.

We tend to worry so much about what so-and-so has going on in their lives ( or rather what we think they have going on) that we become ungrateful for God showing up in our own.

Answer #2: NOBODY

Something that I'm learning is that I have a specific calling on my life. He has given ME the skills to fulfill it.

When people say "what God has for me, is for me" we mostly say it pertaining to blessings. But I'd like to shed light on this fact: not only does God have blessings for you, but He has called you for a specific purpose.

I saw this post today (Sunday, November 3) that said " what God has destined will happen regardless of what anyone else thinks." And let me tell you something, this is a FACT!

It may take YOU some time to figure it out but God already knows the calling He has placed on your life. And when you figure that out, He rejoices.

I'm challenging myself to be more aware of what God is speaking into my life. I hate to be the last one to know something. People have often told me that there is a Calling (yes, capital C) on my life.

My reaction was always either: "uhm no" or (to my self) "that's one of the scariest things I've ever heard."

I was scared, am scared, always will be if I'm being honest. But i know now that with Him all things are possible.

This was the reason for my fear (straight from my diary):

I keep hearing that God has a calling in my life but I think they have the wrong Kourtney or something because what can God use me for? How can God use such a messed up girl for anything? Me nah. They got it all the way messed up. Thats what church people are supposed to say to encourage the youth. God's plan is supposed to be perfect so how can He use someone imperfect to fulfill it.

This was His response. No I didn't hear Him in a still small voice, but He spoke to me in a way He knew I would listen: Tasha Cobbs - No Longer Slaves.

I definitely know that God knows me because He knows how to get me to listen. But anyway back to the lesson I learned: There is no one more equipped for your destiny than you, especially not the rocks.
