Freedom Revamped was founded in June 2019 by Kourtney Galloway under the name “Of The Living Word.” While the platform started out as a way for Kourtney to express her ever-growing love of self, community, and God, the vision and direction has since grown to something greater.

 

By October of 2019, it was revealed to Kourtney that her purpose, and the purpose of the platform was to help individuals discover identity, define internal freedom, and pursue purpose, in that order. With these all being things she struggled with in the past, God equipped Kourtney with the means, knowledge, creativity and community to fulfill this mission.

 

A year later, in June 2020, Kourtney came across her dear friend and our podcast host, DeShon Green. Thus, Freedom Revamped: The Podcast was born. With The Podcast being an extension of Freedom Revamped, DeShon speaks with various individuals about their personal struggles and victories as it pertains to topics that surround our three pillars, such as: self-love, relationships, mental health, going to therapy, and so much more.

 

Shaunie Marie, longtime friend and graphic designer, has been a constant pillar as it pertains to the creative direction and success of Freedom Revamped. While she created the initial logo and website for our platform, in February of 2021, Kourtney knew that it was time to bring her on as the full-time graphic designer of Freedom Revamped.

 

As time went on, God continued to reveal to Kourtney where he intended the platform to grow to. Because He knew that it would take more than Kourtney, DeShon, Madison (who acts as the Administrative Assistant/ Communications Manager), God saw fit to constantly place people in the path of Freedom Revamped. Through connections and random Instagram follows, Kourtney was able to connect with: Kenyatta Coleman (Magazine Manager) and unLYSHed (blogger). 

 

As this platform continues to grow, the objectives still remain the same: Freedom Revamped is a multi-faceted platform dedicated to helping individuals discover identity, pursue purpose, and define internal freedom.
